Assouline Publishing is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to lead sales and inventory analysis and reporting for Wholesale, Retail, and E-Commerce. They will be responsible for inventory planning and allocation and will participate in continued enhancements to the Company's sales and inventory tracking tools/programs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides in-depth analysis of all selling channels to optimize distribution. Responsible to develop and implement the allocation strategy for warehouses and retail locations.
• Delivers through, on-demand analysis of SKU level data by tracking product family trends, new product performance, top sellers, and publishes the report to the Sales and Management teams.
• Collaborates with sales and production to provide up to date information on delivery schedules, and rates of sales and makes reallocation recommendations to avoid stock outs.
• Strengthen the Demand Planning process by implementing new tools, analyzing forecast accuracy (planned vs. actual sales), and optimizing monthly alignment with the Sales team. Objective: launch a comprehensive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process within 6 months.
• Partners with sales team to cosign special product to events and potential orders.
• Recommends specific actions to mitigate potential sales losses caused by stock outs.
• Reports daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory KPIs and other ad docs requests for senior management.
• Works closely with the Finance and Sales team to develop and improve pertinent analyses and reports.
• Complete specific ad hoc analysis upon request.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• At least 5 years of experience in a fashion retail/wholesale planning environment
• 2-3 years of experience in finance preferred but not required.
• Strong background in utilizing Excel
• Familiarity with NetSuite strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in database management and expert in data mining.
• Ability to understand different systems and related data flow.
• Strategic thinking ability to examine data, identify trends and recommend proactive solutions.
• Ability to adeptly manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
• Takes initiative to communicate regularly with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $110,000 - $120,000 annually. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.
