About the Company:

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on General Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for overseeing plant performance across safety, quality, productivity, and financials — ensuring alignment with corporate goals while driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Experience in plastics manufacturing is highly preferred.

About the Role:

  • Lead overall plant operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety policies.
  • Oversee production, maintenance, quality, and logistics functions to optimize efficiency and throughput.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other best practices.
  • Manage plant financials, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L accountability.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team, ensuring clear communication, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams on quoting, costing, SOPs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as primary liaison with key customers and suppliers, addressing issues and building strong partnerships.
  • Support and maintain plant certifications (e.g., QS-9000) and customer-specific compliance requirements.
  • Align operations with business goals, setting and tracking KPIs to ensure performance and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in manufacturing, including significant leadership responsibilities.
  • Background in plastics manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale operations with full P&L accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage change in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
