The Cashier is responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling revenue while providing exceptional hospitality services to all guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Essential functions include maintaining a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients; acknowledging and greeting guests immediately; addressing guests using last names when appropriate; treating guests and associates with courtesy, respect and dignity. The role requires maintaining accuracy and composure under pressure, using proper phone etiquette, assisting guests with directions and inquiries, providing information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions. The cashier determines guest charges and processes payments via cash, credit, or direct billing, categorizes tickets for audit purposes, collects and reconciles revenue accurately, and furnishes payment receipts. The position also involves completing accurate and timely shift reports, following standard operating procedures related to cash banks, operating equipment such as registers, gates, and credit card machines, and obtaining information about daily events and rates. All tasks must be completed timely as instructed by the Lead Cashier/Account Manager. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, one to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, basic math skills, ability to read, write, and comprehend English, and ability to perform basic arithmetic operations with American money. The job requires physical activities such as talking, hearing, sitting or standing for extended periods, running, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally is required. The work environment is mostly outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions. Travel up to 5% may be required.
