Mechanical Engineer Capital Equipment

Location: Clackamas, OR

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a passion for designing and building innovative, high-performance equipment. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge automation products used across North America, contributing your expertise to every stage of the process from concept and design through manufacturing and support.

What Youll Do:

  • Design advanced automation products using 3D CAD software (Inventor or SolidWorks)
  • Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to meet customer and industry standards
  • Coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and testing activities
  • Perform calculations, analyze data, and prepare reports for new and existing projects
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and planning teams to overcome challenges and meet project goals
  • Manage component selection, bills of materials, and engineering workflows
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles, change management, and revision control
  • Maintain focus and accuracy under deadlines in a multi-tasking environment
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and identify process enhancements

What Youll Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years experience designing electro-mechanical products or capital equipment
  • BSME (preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Expert-level 3D CAD skills (Inventor or SolidWorks)
  • Solid understanding of machine design, fabrication, and safety standards
  • Familiarity with motion control, operator interface design, and safety circuitry
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
