Job Description

A leading global consulting firm is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a permanent opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time, permanent role that we anticipate growing with the team and providing great exposure, visibility, and reward.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

This role is responsible for processing bi-weekly, monthly and special payment payrolls. You will ensure all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner according to company policy and follows state and federal statutory regulations. You will provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers and governmental agencies.

  • Process bi-weekly and monthly multi-state payroll for approximately 8,200 employees using outside payroll vendor (ADP) on a team
  • Receive and process payroll change information from local offices and online Human Resource system
  • Audit information for completeness and take appropriate action where needed
  • Accurately compute retroactive pay, partial pay and overpayments based on input data
  • Receive and accurately import bi-weekly time sheets
  • Compile and input change and pay data to ADP, our external payroll vendor
  • Prepare special payment files by using external programs for input to ADP
  • Transmit payroll data for bi-weekly and special payment payrolls to ADP
  • Download/save all payroll reports generated by ADP
  • Sort and distribute payroll checks, advices and reports
  • Maintain all data on ADP payroll system
  • Assist the payroll analyst in researching payroll issues and reconciliations

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years payroll processing experience with automated systems, including report writing tools
  • ADP Workforce Now experience
  • Proficient in Excel
