This reputable firm is looking for a Senior Construction Inspector to join their NYC team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of civil engineering principles related to construction inspection and management. They will be responsible for managing inspection teams, conducting thorough inspections, and preparing detailed reports to identify and address potential hazards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and standards.
  • Inspect materials and workmanship for contract adherence.
  • Maintain accurate records of contractor performance and material deliveries.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance at all levels.
  • Identify risks and recommend solutions to stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Enforce safety protocols on-site.
  • Log daily construction and inspection activities.
  • Track progress and quality across all project phases.
  • Prepare monthly work estimates and review contractor payments.
  • Verify completed work meets specifications and codes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10- 15 years of construction inspection experience
  • NICET III Certification (Professional Engineer preferred)
  • Experience on NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and NJDOT infrastructure projects is a plus.
  • Training in Work Zone Traffic Control
  • Nuclear Gauge Testing Certification
  • ACI Certifications
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  • Nuclear Gauge Radiation Safety and U.S. DOT Hazardous Material (HazMat) Training
  • Basic computer skills required.
