About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Business and Legal Affairs to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior-level business and legal affairs services in the development, production, and delivery of original productions. This includes the structuring, negotiation, and drafting of business and legal terms for a variety of production-related agreements. The role also involves serving as a key point of contact for content acquisition business partners, managing legal personnel, and collaborating with internal departments on production matters. The ideal candidate should have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, be a member of the California or New York State Bar, and have a minimum of 10 years of entertainment legal experience. Applicants for the Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs position at the company should possess strong academic credentials, excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills, and a willingness to master new areas of deal-making and work processes. Proficiency in a wide variety of entertainment contracts and IP law, including copyright, trademark, and employment law issues, is essential.
