Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. Qualifications include High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred, good written communication skills, 1-2 years' experience preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred. Responsibilities include cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse including inbound and outbound, receiving large boxes on warehouse dock, scanning product with RF scanner, inputting product information into computer, breaking down cases of product, operating heavy equipment to replenish warehouse, picking large case items with material handling equipment or picking small unit of measure items and placing on cart, palletizing large items to skid and wrap for shipment, packing small items in boxes, and driving material handling equipment such as order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider. The role requires applying acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks, learning and applying new information and methods, maintaining appropriate licenses, training and certifications, working on routine assignments with some problem resolution, adhering to quality guidelines, working under moderate supervision, and referring complex problems to supervisor.
