We are looking for a Worship Ministries Director who is deeply rooted in their faith, musically gifted, and called to lead others into meaningful worship experiences.

Position Summary:

The Worship Ministries Director is responsible for planning, leading, and developing the worship ministry of Excel Church. This includes overseeing worship services, developing volunteer teams, and integrating worship arts into the broader mission of the church. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader, spiritually mature, musically proficient, and capable of shepherding worship volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of musical worship for Sunday services and special events.
• Collaborate with the pastoral team to plan worship services that align with the sermon series and spiritual direction of the church.
• Recruit, train, and disciple worship team members including vocalists, instrumentalists, and media/tech volunteers.
• Schedule worship team members, organize rehearsals, and ensure musical excellence and spiritual unity.
• Oversee audio/visual elements of worship, working with tech teams to enhance the worship experience.
• Introduce new music that fits the church’s culture and theology, while honoring traditional elements when appropriate.
• Provide pastoral care and spiritual leadership to worship ministry volunteers.
• Manage worship ministry budget and equipment needs.
• Uphold and model the mission, vision, and values of Excel Church

Qualifications:

• A growing and personal relationship with Jesus Christ; demonstrates spiritual maturity and integrity.
• Agreement with the beliefs, mission, and values of Excel Church.
• experience in leading worship in a church or ministry context.
• Strong vocal and instrumental ability (preferably guitar or keyboard).
• Good to have proficient in worship planning software (e.g., Planning Center) and presentation software (e.g., ProPresenter).
• Some understanding of sound, lighting, and video production.
• Able to lead and develop teams with humility, encouragement, and vision.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule and Compensation:

• Starting salary based on experience. Will be discussed in interview
• No set hours. Work schedule is based on the events and needs of the ministry
